Hi! I am once again dying my hair AGAIN. I really wanna go blonde at home without it turning out orange-red like it never fails to do. Right now, my hair is a orange color. What dye/bleach do you suggest for me to use? And If it does turn orange, what can I use to get rid of the brass? I've already used Ardell Unred. It didn't do ANYTHING. I need help. Let’s see. If you’ve got a dye already in your hair and don’t want to wait for it to fade then I would highly suggest going to a salon and having them strip the color. After all bleaching is in itself damaging to your hair so you wanna be extra careful with it.

I’ve never personally gone all blonde but I’ve gathered some info from others that have and I’ll give you their suggestions.

From the majority of blogs/videos/online advice I’ve found they all suggest you go to a salon the first time you’re bleaching your hair.

But if you’re set on doing it yourself here are some tips.

First start with a color stripper One’n Only Colorfix I hear works well on dyed hair. After you’ve “stripped” let your hair set at least 4 days so it can recoup.

Once you’re ready to dye, look for blue bleaches. These with take the brassiness out of your hair. I just found this good article on bleaching hair, steps, and brand recommendations.

Since I haven’t bleached my whole head I would take the articles word more than my own. I better with colored hair because mistakes are more fixable because you can dye back over but blonde is tricky.

Again, my honest recommendation is going to a salon. But have fun no matter what you do and thanks for the questions!

So basically i have tanvskin and dark brown hair. Im such a beach bum, haha, so the sun has sort of lightened parts of my hair to this brassy orangeish brownish color. I really want to try dying my hair, Probably sort of and ombre dip dye thing. But i dont know what colors would look good :( help? from theworldisalie-deactivated20121

So from what I’m picturing your hair has some warm-colored tint in it already. If you want to accent those colors I would continue to the red, orange, orange-yellow colors. I’ve attached some pictures relating to that concept.

Or you could go into a peach or light pink:

If you don’t have a lot of obvious orange tint in your hair hot pink is always fun goes wonderful with tan skin and dark brown hair :D

I'm pale, have green eyes, and a brunette. And I've been anting to dye my hair for a really long time now. But I just can't seem to find any colour that I I love. Every time I see one, I want it, but then I see a new one and get all indecisive... Do you have any recommendations for me? from anasaysguat

Ok I’ve attached some pictures that would probably turn out well. Because of your pale complexion I would stay away from pastels but I say definitely go bright and vibrant! Hope some of these help :)
